Our programs are open to all Nigerians (and international students) who are passionate about a trucking career. For most courses, you need to be at least 18 years old (21 for certain advanced programs) and hold a valid basic driver’s license. Don’t worry if you have never driven a truck before – our Basic program is designed for beginners. If you’re already experienced, we have advanced courses to match your level.

Absolutely! We specialize in taking beginners and turning them into safe, confident drivers. The Basic Truck Driving Program starts from ground zero – we’ll teach you everything from how to start a truck and use the mirrors, to changing gears and handling cargo. Our instructors will support you at every step. By the time you finish, you’ll be amazed at how far you’ve come.

We use a blended learning approach. All the theoretical parts (like traffic rules, vehicle mechanics, and safety regulations) are delivered through our interactive e-learning platform which you can access from home. Then, for practical skills, you will attend in-person sessions at our training facility to practice driving on actual trucks, under instructor supervision. This combination gives you flexibility in learning and ensures you get real hands-on experience.

Yes! Upon successful completion of each program and passing the required tests, you will receive a certificate from NG-Ride Academy for that course. These certificates validate your training and are well-regarded by employers. (They show you’ve been trained to international standards.) While these are not government driver’s licenses, they are proof of your professional training.

We are very much invested in your success. While we cannot guarantee job placement, we provide substantial career support. Our team offers CV/resume assistance, conducts mock interviews, and shares leads on job openings with reputable transport and logistics companies in Nigeria. We frequently invite recruiters and trucking companies for networking events with our students. Many of our graduates have been hired quickly thanks to our strong industry connections. For those in the International program, we guide you on how to connect with overseas recruiters and understand the visa/job process. Your success is our success, and we’ll do everything we can to help you land that dream job.

Not at all. NG-Ride Academy provides all the necessary training vehicles and equipment. We have a fleet of training trucks (of various types, including tractor-trailers) that students use during practical sessions. Our trucks are dual-controlled or specially equipped for learning to ensure safety. We also supply any safety gear you might need (reflective vests, helmets for yard training, etc.). Just come prepared to learn – we’ll take care of the rest!

Safety is the cornerstone of everything we do. During in-person driving practice, all sessions are closely supervised by our instructors. We maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio so you get personal guidance. The training yard is a controlled environment, free of outside traffic. Before hitting actual roads, you’ll have demonstrated sufficient control and awareness in the practice yard. We also ensure every student understands and follows all safety instructions. In addition, first aid and emergency equipment are on site. Rest assured, you will train in a safe and supportive setting.
